HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR AN AIRLINE INTERVIEW PROCESS?
U.S. airlines have a very structured interview process. It typically starts with an aptitude test, followed by human resources and technical assessments. I HAVE A FOREIGN LICENSE (ICAO BASED) , HOW CAN I GET IT CONVERTED TO FAA ATP?
Based on your experience, our consultants will assist you in determining the best license conversion for you. The ATP-CTP course consists of ground school and simulator training. You’d then follow with the FAA ATP written exam and finish with aircraft evaluation. You can choose from conventional piston aircraft or jet type rating.
WHAT IS THE ATP-CTP? CAN’T I JUST STUDY ON MY OWN AND TAKE THE WRITTEN EXAM?
The ATP-CTP course consists of ground school and simulator training. You’d then follow with the FAA ATP written exam and finish with aircraft evaluation. You can choose from conventional piston aircraft or jet type rating. You will not be able to only take written test, to qualify to take the ATP written exam, you must show the ATP-CTP course diploma.
DOES CLIMBDIRECT HAVE ANY AGREEMENT WITH ANY AVIATION SCHOOL?
Through our referral services, we will recommend you the most appropriate flight school to achieve your goal. Our partners offers ATP-CTP, jet type rating, as well as basic training.
I AM CURRENTLY AN AIRLINE CAPTAIN, IS THERE A CHANCE TO GET HIRED AS A DIRECT-ENTRY-CAPTAIN (DEC) WITH A U.S. CARRIER?
Currently, no major airline is hiring DEC. The U.S. carriers have a very structured seniority system and new hire pilots must start as First Officers. A Fast-Track program is also not offered by U.S. carriers. However, our to worldwide pilot shortage, command upgrades have been offered at record time, as low as a few months.
Another option would be to join the U.S. airline market by working for a regional airline. These companies may offer DEC and even sign-in bonuses. It is a smart way to get acclimated to the U.S. aviation market before joining a major airline. Many regionals also offers career path to a major airline, to include preferential interview.
